The LAUNCH FASHION SHOW raised over $18,000 on Sunday, April 10th at Autohaus on Edens for The Glenview Women¹s Club.
The Glenview Women’s Club announced it’s $10,000 Backyard Makeover Raffle winner last night at a cocktail reception at Café Lucci.
Member Dana Russo Koster of Glenview was the big winner!
Her amazing prize package included $2,500 in new lawn furniture from HOBO, $2,000 landscape design from Keri Williams, $2,500 towards hardscape and labor from Standard Lumber and Mike Ziegler of USA Living Environments, $1,250 by the lovely members of The Glenview Women’s Club, $500 in mulch by The Mulch Center!
And when it is all completed, Dana will have an opportunity to show it all off with a party in her new backyard with $750 in catering services by UNO MAS and a special appearance by singer Antonio Duca donated by Joanne Boufis. The fundraiser raised over $10,000 in ticket sales from this one campaign.
A big thank you to everyone that bought a ticket and that donated the amazing pieces of the prize package!
This is all very good news for the charities that benefit from these events!
The celebration continued with the annual anniversary dinner where 11 women were recognized for their participation and achievement within the organization.
The recipients included Keri Mangold, Nancy Taylor, Diana Endo, Millie Campo, Sarah Berto, Stephanie Hoffman, Janis Duncan, Josephine Wang, Brenda Arends, Jessica Erickson and Jenny Larson
They all won an invitation to an appreciation party at the new 10 Friends Blow Dry & Style House generously donated by this new business in support of our club.
June is our distribution month and any charity that is looking for support from GWT are encouraged to submit a request via the website at http://www.glenviewwomensclub.com/charitable-contribution-request-form/
All charities are invited to our April meeting at Pinot’s Palette in the glen from 6:30-7:30 to tell the GWC membership more about their organizations goals and needs for the upcoming year.
Distribution of funds is done at June 8th meeting at Redfield Estate.

Please join the Glenview Women’s Club at the Winter Ball for a Kentucky Derby inspired evening!
The night will begin at 8pm at the legendary Union League Club. Our evening includes an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and dance music by the amazing Gentlemen of Leisure Band! Black tie attire is preferred.
The price is $125 per person inclusive, and a significant portion will benefit GWC! Many thanks to our Special Events Co-Chair Linda Bottomlee for providing this opportunity for an elegant, fun and philanthropic evening at her club.
Be sure to reply in the comments section if you are interested in round trip transportation from Glenview. We are potentially securing a party bus based on your interest. The cost will be approximately $25-30 per person. The bus will leave Wildfire at 7pm & leave ULC at 12:15am returning to Wildfire. Availability will be based on participation and pre-payment instructions will follow.
Pre-party option ~ Todd and Tamara Holmes have offered to host a cocktail hour from 7-8pm at their condo for those who will be downtown already or are arranging their own transportation. The address is 310 E Jackson, Apt 1405.

The Glenview Women’s Club is a community service organization whose members raise money and donate time to support many charities and causes.

MUSIC: Our very own famous crooner, Antonio Duca,(member, Irina Henofer’s son) singing old school favorites by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and maybe some holiday classics.
FOOD: Lemon basil chicken w/Italian herbs. Winter pumpkin ravioli with parmesan & pepper cream sauce. Warm grilled vegetables: eggplant, peppers, squash, asparagus, & mushrooms. Baby lettuce/herb salad w/mozz, figs & tomato. Specialty breads. Everyone will be asked to pay $20 pp to cover food/paper goods. GIFT AUCTION: Everyone is asked to bring a wrapped gift valued at $25+. If it is a holiday item, then wrap in holiday paper. If it is a non-holiday item, then wrap in other paper. Ladies bid on gifts and monies raised will go to our general fund. This is not a white elephant, so be creative with a usable gift. History shows the prettier the wrapping, the higher the bidding!
DESSERT: We are seeking talented bakers (or buyers) to contribute desserts/sweets to share!
It is going to be a terrific night to celebrate with old and new friends, as well as a chance to get to know each other better. I hope you call can make it! There may be a little dancing too!
